The Montreux Music & Convention Centre (2m2c) has long invested, and continues to invest regularly, in the latest telecommunication technologies: high-speed internet, wire-line and wireless digital communications, telephony and videoconferencing are available in all parts of the 2m2c.
Our LAN, Cisco switch and fibre optic lines provide high-speed connectivity in all locations, and our internet service provider, Swisscom, guarantees us a very high-speed Internet connection (100Mb).
Our facilities include :
- firewall-protected high speed Internet (100Mb)
- retransmission through the Internet
- creation of customised networks
- LAN (local area network) connections at 400 access points
- wireless Internet and information network
- WiFi
Wherever you are in the Montreux Music & Convention Centre, WiFi (Wireless Fidelity) technology provides you with high-speed wireless Internet access from a laptop computer or a PDA. Convention participants and visitors can gain access to the Internet, read their e-mail and access their corporate VPN without wired connections and with complete freedom of movement. This is a complimentary service provided to each convention that comes to the 2m2c, within the limits of available capacity and with the option of additional capacity depending on the number of users.
