54th Montreux Jazz Festival

The Montreux Jazz Festival is celebrating its 54th edition this year. More than half a century of living music, sublimated every summer in an extraordinary small town. The MJF is forward-looking, imbued with the historical cement that binds the Festival to artists and the public.

Since its creation in 1967, the Festival has quickly become a reservoir of fantastic concerts, crazy artistic convergences, rare moments, improbable anecdotes, ambitious nerve and bets, decisive impulses. The Festival welcomed legendary artists in its idyllic setting. Some, like Prince or Deep Purple, helped to write the legend of the place in their songs while others, like David Bowie, Nina Simone or Freddie Mercury, came to live in the region or record albums.
