Also known by the name of the Pearl of the Swiss Riviera because of its sunny climate, Montreux is ideally located in the centre of Europe, 1 hour from the Geneva International Airport. Easily and quickly accessible via the major road and rail arteries, the town is located in French-speaking Switzerland on the shores of Lake Geneva looking out on to the Alps, and offers a superb promenade along the lake. The Montreux Music & Convention Centre, like the rest of the town, is right at the water's edge and all amenities (railway station, hotels, restaurants, etc.) are quickly accessible on foot.
